Description

This upright, tussock-forming grass grows in Winter and Spring, dying down over Summer and resprouting with the Autumn rains. Watering over Summer should keep it green. It likes full sun or light shade and suits most local soils. Seedheads are oval to long rectangular and fluffy. Growing in gravel next to our car park, it's tough!

Advice

Maintenance

In the past, the leaves of Wallaby Grasses were regularly eaten (pruned) by wallabies, so will benefit from being cut back to about 5cm in December or January. This will also keep it tidy over Summer.
