Description

Growing in a clump, these plants like moister conditions the other Dianella species and can sometimes spread. The flowers have bluish petals with contrasting yellow anthers in the middle. After flowering the seeds form inside berries which are initially greenish then turn purple. Like many lilies, each flower often lasts only a few days but as there are many flowers on a stem they can be colourful for weeks.

Advice

Maintenance

Cutting off the flower stem after flowering will keep the plant looking neat.
