Found in winter-wet swamps that stay moist over summer, this plant has blue-grey leaves and milky-white flower heads.
Plant in moist soil in full sun or light shade. The stems spread up to 75cm along the ground and can smother nearby low-growing plants.
Keep moist all year round. Plants can die back in late Autumn, losing all leaves except those at the tips of the stems. In July or August they will resprout from the base of the plant, and at this time the dead stems can be cut off.
Stems lying on the ground may put out roots. These can be pulled out, or dug up and transplanted.
