Milkmaids

A member of the lily family. It has fleshy corms and dies back after seeding to come again if conditions suit. Flowers form an umbel on an unbranched stem, and are white with a pink central ovary which becomes the seed capsule when pollinated.

It's best grown in damp, well-drained soils and positioned in partial sun.
