Description

Star-shaped purple wildflower. The tubers formed at the ends of the roots are edible, raw or roasted.

Advice

Requires well drained soils in full or part sun. Propagates from seed. Susceptible to slugs and snails. Dies down after flowering and will shoot again after good autumn rain.
